We had a great trip last Saturday. The weather was great and so was the fishing

After a few cool nights over the last week, the water temperature has dropped to ~70 and the Spanish Mackerel have packed up and headed south until next year. We are still catching some nice size bluefish and managed to get a few striped bass in the chumline. As the water temperature continues to fall, the bass should show up in bigger numbers.

One other interesting thing that happened last week was the high tides that we experienced. Due to the Nor’easter and full moon, we had abnormally high tides of 3.5 – 4′ above normal

No, this is not due to global warming. We deal with this every year.

I still have weekend dates available until the end of the year, but they are being booked up. Please give me a call to get your trip scheduled soon.
